Shut the front door applesauce!

Shut the front door applesauce!

Oh my gosh! I may be the only person in the world that did not know how easy it is to make applesauce. I have seen recipes for cooking applesauce on the stove but today I discovered a much easier way. I was making a batch of my granola bars and discovered that the kids had eaten the last of the apple sauce. I was in a bit of a hurry so I decided to throw some apples and cinnamon into my food processor and Voila', Apple Sauce! Not only was it fast but my kids LOVED it! I am pretty sure I will be making it from scratch the super easy was from now on.

Two appliances every kitchen should have: Food processor, Kitchen aide mixer

Ingredients

  • 4-5 macintosh apples (room temp), peeled and cut (big chunks)
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp warm water

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients into a food processor and blend until consistency you like.
  2. I scraped down the sides and blended twice.
