Years ago I learned a little trick from my mom that I think is priceless. If you buy brown sugar you know that it can become hard as a rock if not used quickly. I know you have seen those brown sugar bears that you can drop in with them that helps to keep them soft. Well…. my mom taught me a much cheaper secret.
Take the heal of your loaf of bread and shove it down in your brown sugar container. I use a little plastic container I got at Walmart for under a dollar but you can also use a mason jar.
Boo Ja Beeeeeee!!!!! Soft brown sugar that will lasts months longer!!!
