Homemade Cornbread

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Yield: 12 servings

When you are eating clean boxed cornbread just won’t do!

Ingredients

  • • 1 cup self-rising cornmeal
  • • 1/2 cup self rising flour
  • • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • • 2 eggs
  • • 2 tablespoons canola oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine all ingredients and mix well.
  3. Pour batter into a greased shallow baking dish.
  4. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool.
